UNDP implements projects worth $100 mln in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has implemented UNDP projects in the field of healthcare for a total of $ 100 million,  Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Turkmenistan Tomitsa Paovich. He took part in the International Health Conference in Ashgabad, Orient reported.

The conference also discussed plans to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular – ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting well-being for all at any age, which includes targets for universal health coverage, access to quality basic health services, medicines and vaccines.

The government of Turkmenistan is implementing health projects aimed at achieving the SDGs with the support of the Global Fund, the World Bank, the World Health Organization and other development partners.
