Kazinform: In Kazakhstan, average level of wages increased

The average value of nominal wages in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2022 amounted to 312,011 tenge. This was reported by the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, Kazinform correspondent reports.

“The growth compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021 amounted to 24%, in real terms – 8.9%. The median value of wages (the central level of the salary range), according to the assessment in the second quarter of 2022, amounted to 196,728 tenge,” the ministry said.

According to statistics, the growth of wages is observed in all major types of economic activity.

“Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021, the largest growth was recorded in the sectors of construction – 35.5%, transport and warehousing – 34.8%, mining and quarrying – 28.3%, slower rates were noted in the sectors of healthcare and social services population – 12.1%, provision of other types of services – 3.9%,” the bureau specified.

In the regional context, the largest growth was recorded in the Kyzylorda region – 31.3%. The smallest growth was noted in Nur-Sultan – 14.2%, in real terms (taking into account price growth) a decrease of 0.1 percentage points was recorded.
