Hronikatm: On July 14-15, Serdar Berdimuhamedov will visit Uzbekistan on a state visit

On July 14-15, at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties will discuss increasing the volume of mutual trade, industrial cooperation, transport and transit potential, the implementation of important projects in the water management sector and the intensification of interregional contacts.

The heads of state will exchange views on international issues and discuss topical aspects of regional cooperation. It is also planned to adopt a Joint Statement and sign a package of bilateral documents.

The program also includes holding a meeting in the Oliy Majlis (parliament) of Uzbekistan and sightseeing in the city of Samarkand, the news release says.

The press service recalls that in preparation for the visit of the head of Turkmenistan on July 1-2, a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Water Management Issues was held in the city of Dashoguz.

On July 12, the Uzbek-Turkmen scientific and practical conference was held in Tashkent.

In addition, the first Forum of Regions, a meeting of the Business Council and an exhibition of leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are held in Bukhara.

To participate in these events, a delegation from Turkmenistan was sent to Uzbekistan on July 12-14.

It should be recalled that Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesha Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed his son’s visit to Uzbekistan with Shavkat Mirziyoyev during telephone conversations on June 29.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s first visit to Russia took place on June 10-11 and had official status.
