The EAEU must demonstrate its main purpose – improving the lives of citizens, said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov.
Zhaparov stated this at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan , RIA Novosti reported.
“Our meeting is taking place in a difficult geopolitical and geo-economic environment. In this difficult period, our union must demonstrate its main purpose – improving the quality of life of citizens by removing barriers, simplifying procedures in mutual trade. We have everything we need for this. The main thing is political will heads of our states, it remains for us to do everything in our power for a genuine mutually beneficial and economic partnership,” Zhaparov said.
He stated that the EAEU countries are committed to a common goal – strengthening the union through the promotion of the four main postulates of an integration association for the benefit of the prosperity of states and peoples.
On October 20-21, the heads of government of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan discussed in Yerevan topical issues of Eurasian integration, as well as the functioning of the internal market of the union, including the removal of obstacles to the movement of goods, industrial cooperation and customs and tariff regulation, the agency reported.
