President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today got acquainted with a presentation on the development and diversification of international transport corridors, a Dunyo news agency correspondent reports.
According to the press service of the head of our state, industry and entrepreneurship are developing more and more in our country. Since the beginning of the year, 50 thousand new enterprises have been created, and the number of exporters has exceeded 7.5 thousand. The volume of exports increased 1.3 times compared to last year and reached $8 billion 200 million.
Along with the production of products, the establishment of ways to enter the world market is of no small importance. This is especially true today, when the issue of logistics is acute all over the world.
In this regard, exporting enterprises are supported in every possible way by our state. This year, deliveries of domestic products to 32 new markets have been established. The processes associated with accession to the World Trade Organization are also accelerating.
Taking into account the increase in the cost of transporting goods, the state provided exporters with 170 billion soums for partial compensation of expenses. The size of the subsidy for transportation costs for enterprises exporting finished products to Europe has also been increased from 50 to 70 percent.
Products are delivered abroad mainly through 9 transport corridors. The presentation discussed topical issues for each transport corridor, as well as proposals for their solution.
– The development of the transport sector is an important factor in increasing the competitiveness of the economy. Exports and investments will increase when the cost of freight transportation is low, said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Ministry of Transport was tasked with working out the most optimal routes for entrepreneurs and achieving a reduction in their transport costs.
The importance of resolving issues related to obtaining additional permits for the transportation of export cargo to Europe was emphasized. It was proposed to create joint transport companies with Pakistan and Turkmenistan for road freight transportation.
Instructions were given on speeding up the reconstruction of the Kungrad-Beinau highway and on the full use of car-building capacities.
