CSTO exercises end in Kazakhstan

Command and staff exercises of the CSTO countries have ended in Kazakhstan.

At the “Interaction” exercise, military units from the countries of the Organization demonstrated the skills and ability of interaction. The participants of the exercise worked out such elements as the participation of forces and means of reconnaissance “Poisk”, as well as the logistics of the troops “Echelon”.

The closing ceremony of the exercises was attended by representatives of the defense departments of the CSTO countries and representatives of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan, where the exercises were held, as well as
representatives of the military-diplomatic corps.

“As part of the Interaction, Poisk and Echelon exercises, the tasks of improving the coherence of command and control bodies, combat readiness and operational compatibility were completed. All, without exception, the participants showed good results. You confirmed your level of training with professional command of military equipment and weapons,” stressed the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov.

The CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan were held from 3 to 7 October 2022. CSTO exercises “Interaction”, “Search” and “Echelon” began.

The exercises were attended by units of five states that are members of the CSTO. Armenia did not take part. The CSTO includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
