Avesta: Import of Tajikistan increased by almost a quarter

Tajikistan’s main export partners are Kazakhstan, China, Turkey and Uzbekistan, reports Avesta.

According to the official statistics, the share of exports of Tajik goods to Kazakhstan is 20.2% of the total exports.

In just six months of this year, goods worth more than $245.1 million were exported to Kazakhstan. However, the amount of imports from this country amounted to more than $397.1 million.

The trade turnover between Tajikistan and China for this period amounted to $669.8 million. The amount of imports was $447.4 million.

In total, Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover since the beginning of this year has amounted to more than $3.5 billion.

The import amounted to about $2.3 billion with an increase of 24.2% or $447.2 million.

Export of goods amounted to $1.2 billion with a decrease of 0.1% or $1.6 million compared to a year earlier.
