The opening of the first international Uzbek-Chinese online film forum “Light of the Light of the East” took place in Tashkent. The event is organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.
The film forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of interstate relations between Uzbekistan and China, Podrobno.uz reports.
During the video conference, representatives of the film industry of the two countries got acquainted with the work of each other, exchanged views and spoke about the details of future cooperation. As a result of the discussion, a joint action plan was developed.
“We are pleased that cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the field of cinematography is in an active phase: meetings of filmmakers have become a tradition, Days and Weeks of National Cinema are successfully held in our countries. However, it should be noted that cooperation in the field of joint film production is not at the proper level. At the same time, both sides have a great desire and the necessary resources for cooperation, and the ancient Great Silk Road gives us rich thematic potential,” said Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Tursunali Kuziev.
