Trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan is growing

The volume of foreign and mutual trade in goods of Kyrgyzstan in January-July 2022 amounted to $6 billion, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the country Zainidin Zhumaliev told, Kabar Agency reported.

According to data presented by him, compared with January-July 2021, it increased by 30.9%, while export supplies decreased by 36.6%. And the same time, import receipts increased by 1.7 times.

“The volume of mutual trade of the Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU member states in January-July 2022 amounted to $2.5 billion and increased by 35% compared to January-July 2021. At the same time, export deliveries increased by 1.6 times, import receipts – by 27.5%,” he said.

He also noted that the largest share of the republic’s mutual trade with the EAEU member states in January-July of this year fell on Russia (70.8%) and Kazakhstan (27%).

Kyrgyzstan trades with the EAEU countries more than with other countries and the total volume of trade with the members of the Organization is more than 70%.

Kyrgyzstan mainly exports gold, clothing products, agricultural products, etc. It imports consumer goods, fuels and lubricants, flour and dairy products, building materials, etc.
