Tokayev tells about future foreign policy of Kazakhstan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the forum to support the presidential candidate of the Republic of Kazakhstan told what kind of foreign policy Kazakhstan will pursue in the near future, Zakon.kz reported.

The current President Tokayev is convinced that Kazakhstan should pursue a balanced, multidirectional, constructive foreign policy aimed at ensuring regional and global security.

Kazakhstan will invariably stand for the steadfast observance of the principles of equality and democracy in international relations, international law and the UN Charter.

Kazakhstan will make active efforts to strengthen the authority of the UN as a universal and non-alternative international organization.

Tokayev also noted that Kazakhstan will cooperate with such important organizations as the CIS, SCO, OSCE, OTS and other international organizations, as well as strengthen the potential of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

Extraordinary presidential elections are scheduled in Kazakhstan for November 20 this year. Several little-known politicians are going to compete with Tokayev in the elections. However, many experts and analysts predict victory for the current President Tokayev.
