Kyrgyz president discusses migration policy with ministers of internal affairs of CIS countries

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with the ministers of internal affairs of the CIS states in Cholpon-Ata, where the summit of the heads of law enforcement agencies of the post-Soviet countries took place, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.

Zhaparov noted in his speech the importance of intensifying cooperation in the field of labor migration as one of the priority areas of interaction.

He underlined the importance for Kyrgyzstan of the issues related to migration policy. In particular, such as ensuring freedom of crossing the internal borders of the Commonwealth.

The head of Kyrgyzstan expressed confidence that the solution to the problem of coordinated regulation of labor migration lies in granting migrants equal rights with the population of the host country when hiring and terminating labor agreements.

The president urged to act in solidarity, to be ready for any internal and external factors, as well as challenges and threats in order to maintain stability and peace in the CIS states.
