Tajikistan buys more oil and less wheat in 2022

More than 18% of Tajikistan’s total imports since the beginning of this year have been oil products, flour and wheat, Avesta report.

Since the beginning of 2022, the total volume of imports of goods to Tajikistan amounted to more than $2.7 billion.

Imports include more than 411.3 thousand tons of oil products and since the beginning of the year the growth was 26.7%, the total amount exceeded $338.5 million.

For 7 months of this year, more than 463.1 thousand tons of wheat were imported into Tajikistan, which is 10.8% less than in 2021, the Customs Service of Tajikistan reported. The amount of wheat import costs amounted to over $155.2 million.

Imports of flour for this period amounted to more than 27.9 thousand tons in the amount of over $10.2 million.

In total, since the beginning of 2022, the total volume of imports to Tajikistan amounted to more than $2.7 billion.
