Ritmeurasia: The UN recognized the Bukhara Declaration

The Bukhara Declaration has been declared an official document of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the Dunya news agency reports.

The declaration has already been translated into the organization’s six official languages ​​- English, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese. The UN member states, specialized agencies and platforms of the organization also got acquainted with it.

The document was the result of the international forum “Dialogue of Declarations”. In it, the participants of the event paid special attention to the right to freedom of religion. They noted that restrictions on religious freedom can only be used to ensure security, public order, health and moral standards.

At the same time, in the document, the parties stressed the need to prevent propaganda of religious intolerance and discrimination in the media and the Internet.

Earlier, the UN General Assembly, at the suggestion of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, adopted a document on strengthening the relationship between Central and South Asia.
