31,537 marriages were registered in Uzbekistan in September, the press service of the Uzbek State Statistics Committee reports.
It turned out that this indicator decreased by 211 compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
The top three regions of Uzbekistan in terms of the number of new marriages included:
Fergana region – 3681;
Samarkand region – 3650;
Namangan region – 3126;
Ferghana and Namangan regions are located in the Ferghana Valley, where the highest population density in Asia is observed.
In the capital of the country, Tashkent – 2471.
At the same time, more than a hundred families break up in Uzbekistan every day. The average number of marriages that break up per day was about 134. Earlier it was reported that Uzbeks began to marry less and divorce more.
Uzbekistan ranks first in terms of population in Central Asia. The population of the country is more than 39 million people in 2022.
