The vast majority of Kyrgyz migrants are in Russia, from where the bulk of remittances come to Kyrgyzstan. They play an important role in the country’s economy, as it is about $2.5 billion with a GDP of $8 billion a year, the Kyrgyz Ministry said in a statement.

Russia – 680.5 thousand people;
Turkey – 35 thousand;
Kazakhstan – 35 thousand;
USA, Canada – 26 thousand;
Germany, Poland – 11.2 thousand;
South Korea – 6.4 thousand;
Uzbekistan – 5 thousand;
UAE – 5 thousand;
Great Britain – 3 thousand.
The population of Kyrgyzstan, according to official data, will reach 7 million people in October 2022.
