Leaders of main religions of world call on heads of states to abandon aggressive policy

Delegates of the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions adopted the final document of the Congress – a declaration. Special representative of the Anglican Bishop Jo Bailey Wells voiced the provisions of the document, Zakon.kz reported.

Jo Bailey Wells said that the declaration was accepted by the majority of delegates of the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and is distributed to the authorities, political leaders, religious figures around the world, relevant regional and international organizations, civil society institutions, as well as religious associations and leading experts.

According to the special representative of the Anglican Church, the declaration will also be distributed as an official document of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

The principles contained in this declaration can be disseminated at all regional international levels to be taken into account in all political decisions, legislation, educational programs and media in all interested countries.
The document consists of 35 paragraphs.

The Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was held on September 14-15 in Nursultan with the participation of spiritual leaders and representatives of all major religions of the world.
