Kyrgyzstan intends to fight poverty following experience of China

Kyrgyzstan intends to use China’s experience in the fight against poverty, Kyrgyz Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration Kudaibergen Bazarbayev said at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Bishkek Du Dewen.

“Our ministry is interested in developing relations with colleagues from China. We would like to consider the possibility of exchanging experience and knowledge with China in the fight against poverty, as well as in other successful areas of China’s social policy,” Bazarbayev said.

He noted that within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the relevant ministries of the two countries, there is already experience of cooperation in providing the Republican Prosthetic and Orthopedic Plant  with technical equipment from Chinese factories.

Ambassador Du Dewen noted that the Chinese Embassy is ready to make efforts to implement the voiced proposals of the ministry.

“China has been actively fighting poverty over the past 100 years, over the past 10 years we have achieved its complete eradication. Thanks to government efforts, more than 800 million Chinese will be lifted out of poverty by 2022. We are ready to share our knowledge and experience with the Kyrgyz Republic,” she said.

China is the largest creditor of Kyrgyzstan and participates in many investment projects.
