Four ministers removed from office in Kyrgyzstan at once

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed decrees, according to which four members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan were simultaneously removed from their positions.

By his decree, President Zhaparov dismissed Azamat Zhamankulov from the post of Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism and Youth Policy, Doskul Bekmurzaev from the post of Minister of Energy, Erkinbek Osoyev from the post of Minister of Transport and Communications, Almazbek Beishenaliev from the post of Minister of Education and Science.

Before that, criminal cases were initiated against Bekmurzaev and Beishenaliev, and they themselves were suspended from their duties for the period of the investigation. They are suspected of organizing and participating in corruption cases in their departments. The investigations are not completed yet.

Not long before this, Minister of Health Abdykadyr Beishenaliev was dismissed from his post, against whom the Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a case. He was suspected of misappropriation of funds.

The removal from office of four members of the Government at once in the history of Kyrgyzstan happened for the first time.
