Avesta: Joint Uzbek-Tajik exercises take place in Uzbek Termez

Joint Tajik-Uzbek exercises “Commonwealth-2022” began at the Termez training ground in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Ministry of Defense reports.

It is noted that the exercises began with a solemn opening ceremony, at which Major General Zainobiddin Iminov, Commander of the Southwestern Special Military District of Uzbekistan, and Major General Sharof Egamzod, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, expressed confidence that holding these joint exercises will allow even more strengthen the bonds of friendship between states.

Then, at the training points and the obstacle course of the Termez training ground, the servicemen of Uzbekistan organized demonstration exercises – they demonstrated the techniques and methods of conducting close combat, evacuating the wounded and repelling the attack of a mock enemy.

The Tajik servicemen were also able to take part in the performances, according to the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
