President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif held talks in Astana on expanding practical cooperation between the two countries in accordance with previously reached agreements.
The meeting was held within the framework of the CICA summit in the capital of Kazakhstan.
The leaders of the two countries called for the effective use of the existing potential and wide opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, innovation, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In order to promote a peaceful settlement and socio-economic development in Afghanistan, the prospects for the implementation of the strategic project for the construction of the Termez – Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar railway were discussed in detail.
