Kazakhstan to host exercises on rapid response of CSTO forces

More than 6.5 thousand people will take part in the exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)forces. The exercises will be held from September 26 to October 13, 2022 on the territory of Kazakhstan, the CSTO press service reported.

“It is planned that the total number of participants in the exercises in Kazakhstan will be more than 6,500 people and over 850 units of military and special equipment,” the CSTO said.

The active phase of the exercises will be held at the Matybulak training ground from 3 to 7 October.

The military contingents of the CSTO member states, operational groups of the joint headquarters and the CSTO secretariat, formations of special forces, authorized bodies in the field of prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations will take part in the exercises.

Three exercises will be held on the territory of Kazakhstan from September 26 to October 13, 2022: the Interaction-2022 command and staff exercise with the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the CSTO, the Poisk-2022 special exercises with reconnaissance forces and equipment, and Echelon-2022 with units of material and technical support of the Troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO.

The CSTO includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia. Representatives of the armed forces of these countries will take part in the upcoming exercises.
